    MedShare International

I just thought this was pretty smart and quick thinking. MedShare International placed a search ad under “Diego Valazquez” on Google who created a new doodle today celebrating the birthday of the famed artist.

People like myself click on the doodle to get more information about what it is about, and now I am more aware of Medshare International’s mission.

    Mind TV

This has been a project of Indenpendence Media for about two years that finally has come to fruition. I heard about this in graduate school and thought it was an interesting idea to generate revenue and original programming for a small public television station outside of Philadelphia. Volunteers and organizations create five-minute educational programs for a modest fee to be broadcasted on the web and television. It’s a great opportunity to create rich and informative programs about subjects and issues that people care passionately about.

The website has a simple and clean interface (which I am always in favor of) where visitors can watch current programs or create an account to submit their video. It also has a blog and discussion board to interact with the staff and content creators. Learn more at

    Conservation International

I finally find a topic that I like and have a some idea of what I am talking about. I thought instead of writing how some organizations are doing it wrong, I would highlight some great websites by non-profit organizations.

My first website to feature is Conservation International’s redesigned website at

What’s great about the site is its simple and easy navigation for users to learn about the cause and take action. I was amazed to the fact that the burning of forests each year releases more carbon dioxide than all cars, airplanes and trucks per year. That’s amazing if this statement is true.

Visitors can save an acre of forest for just $15. I almost want to call a real estate agent in these countries and purchase 100 acress for myself as a retirement home. Just kidding. Not really.

    Starting Over

I am starting over with this blog and plan to focus it on one particular subject that I enjoy writing about instead of multiple ones. The problem is I enjoy multiple things such as history, education, technology and marketing. Stay tuned if you care…
